Sonja Dewing has always been a bit of a badass. She learned to fly a plane at seventeen and has been standing up for women ever since.

She writes thrillers with strong female characters in order to raise the voice of women in this underrepresented genre. She earned her degree at UNM focusing on journalism and professional writing and has had articles published in newspapers and magazines; including Aviation Magazine.

She's won several awards from New Mexico Press Woman for her short stories. Her novel,
