This song was written by myself and Kim Richey. It's sort of an autobiographical song how I became who I am and how I cannot and will not be "put in my place." I love my home state of Texas, but politically it has betrayed me and anyone who else who can be marginalized. The Texas Legislature wants to control us by means of stripping us of our human rights and bodily autonomy. This we all cannot abide.
